She’s the co-author of Max the Champion (2014).

Alex is passionate about the right of all children to find books they will love. She is one of the founders of Outside In World, the initiative concerned with celebrating and exploring children’s books from around the world. She was involved in helping to set up the Inclusive Minds initiative, which offers a network for book creators to connect with people with lived experience to strengthen authentic representation. She has previously held the post of deputy director of BookTrust and headed up the Bookstart programme aiming to give every baby in the UK a free book pack to support a love of reading. She is a facilitator of the Reflecting Disability project in the UK, an Arts Council supported research study into representation of disabled people in children's books.
Some of her books are published under the name Alex Strick.
Outside the book world, she is also proud to be a (non-practising) member of the management team of a regional law firm.
