J.K. Lane

J.K. Lane is the author of The Carrington Chronicles, an epic fantasy series inspired by Irish mythology, folklore, and the timeless rhythms of the natural world. Her novels transport readers to richly imagined kingdoms where ancient magic, unforgettable characters, and the enduring bonds of family shape every adventure.

Growing up in Northeast Ohio, Lane discovered her love of storytelling beneath the branches of a favorite backyard tree, where afternoons spent lost in books sparked a lifelong imagination. By the age of twelve, she was writing stories of her own, inspired by the myths, legends, and magical worlds that had captured her heart.

At the center of Lane's writing is a simple belief: the greatest adventures are not defined by the magic characters wield, but by the choices they make and the relationships they fight to protect. Her stories weave together elemental kingdoms, ancient legends, loyal friendships, and families bound together by love, sacrifice, and hope.

When she's not writing, Lane enjoys painting, quiet walks, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Whether exploring a wooded trail or dreaming up the next corner of Kandella, she finds inspiration in nature, history, and the timeless stories that continue to connect generations.

She invites readers to step into Kandella—a world where every kingdom is shaped by the natural elements, every legend has a beginning, and every adventure reminds us that the strongest magic has always been the bonds we share.
