Denise “Dedee” Johnson is a grief coach, certified life mentor, and the founder of After the Goodbyes — a faith-based grief coaching ministry inspired by Isaiah 43:2. Her calling was born out of unimaginable loss: the passing of her husband in 2011, followed by the loss of her 21-year-old son and 29-year-old daughter within just 11 days of each other.
From those deep waters of grief, Denise emerged with a sacred mission — to walk alongside others who are navigating the storms of sorrow, and to be a vessel of God’s comfort and hope.
As the author of Surviving Goodbyes, she helps others process pain with grace, rediscover peace through journaling and reflection, and find God’s presence in every part of the healing journey. Her coaching provides a safe, spirit-led space where broken hearts are seen, heard, and gently restored.
Denise’s life is living proof of God’s promise: even in the darkest valleys, He is with us. Through her ministry, she invites others to believe that healing is not only possible — it is promised.
