I'm Cory Smith, founder of Signal & Horizon, a Denver-based enterprise AI strategy and advisory firm, and an Innovation & Emerging Technologies and Models Strategist with 28+ years of experience leading innovation and transformation inside Fortune 500 companies and global organizations.
I helped found Hatch, Aflac's innovation lab, and led the North American Digital Transformation practice at FPT Software. Today I help CIOs, COOs and Chief Strategy Officers make better decisions about AI adoption, governance and transformation, turning ambition into delivered value instead of slides and hype.
My books on enterprise AI and innovation are Shoot. Ready. Aim., Beautifully Human, Lean Innovation and Wired for Change. I'm also the author of the Disney Parks Guidebook. I write about AI and leadership in Beyond the Model on Substack.
I created the IIO (Ideas to Initiatives to Outcomes) Workshop, the Altitude and Obsolescence workshops, and the Transformation Canvas, frameworks I use to help leadership teams get clear on outcomes before they spend on technology.
