Rizwan Haider is an accomplished international banker with over four decades of experience in the global financial sector. He currently serves as Chairman of Arconseil SAS, a consulting firm, and of the Société Immobilière et d’Aménagement Urbain (SImAU). He is also a senior adviser to the President of the Republic of Benin on banking and financial affairs. In this role, he led the successful merger of two state-owned banks to form the Banque Internationale pour l’Industrie et de Commerce (BIIC) in 2020, where he served as Chairman until 2022. His previous leadership roles include CEO of Orabank Benin, Group COO of Ecobank, and Senior Vice President at HSBC and Regional Head for Africa at Export Development Canada (EDC). He has held board positions across various institutions including Vista Group Holding, Vista Bank Burkina, and Saphir Asset Management. Rizwan is also the founding president of the American Business Club Benin and a two-time president of the Benin Bankers Association. His expertise spans structured finance, corporate restructuring, and institutional leadership across Africa and the Middle East.
