Thomas M. Chumbley, Ph.D.

Thomas Chumbley, Ph.D., "Tom", was adopted at birth from Little Current, Ontario, Canada, and raised by his English-born father—a preacher and missionary—and his mother from the Republic of Texas—a lifelong schoolteacher. His early life spanned several U.S. states and included formative years in England.

After serving three years in the U.S. Army working on helicopters, Tom pursued a B.A. in Political Science, later earning a Master of Public Administration and ultimately a Ph.D. in Leadership. True to his own humorous take on life's milestones, each degree seemed to coincide with a new child—until the doctorate, when the pattern finally broke.

Tom has served in state government, worked in higher education, and gone on to found multiple companies. He is the co-founder of a leadership consulting firm and currently serves as president of a growing public insurance adjusting company.

Tom is married to the person he calls “the best human being ever,” and together they raise a family grounded in values, laughter, and purpose. Passionate about helping people grow and thrive, Tom writes with the goal of spreading ideas that challenge, encourage, and uplift. He believes good thinking leads to good outcomes—and that clear leadership can change lives.
