Howie Goldklang

Howie Goldklang is an award-winning realism poet and screenwriter.

A former Division 1 400m hurdler turned long-distance runner, he founded the Silver Lake Track Club, a purpose-driven running collective using the transformative power of movement to uplift Los Angeles through inclusive events, community partnerships, and a culture of care.

Goldklang co-wrote the feature films Vanity and Metal Knights, created one-act plays with the world-renowned Sacred Fools Theater, and has written and performed stand-up comedy in his hometown of Los Angeles.

His work, including Salt & Flickers, has received press and praise from HuffPost, Buzzfeed, Esquire, Like The Wind Magazine, Olympian and marathon icon Deena Kastor, and NY Times, LA Times, and USA Today bestselling authors, with more to come.
