Nick Visioli

Hey, my name is Nicolò and I write (and draw) stories for children. Before that, I was and still am a calligrapher: I have always had a passion for letters, handwritten ones, full of rhythm and character.

I studied at the Comics Academy in Milan, where I learned to tell stories with images, to give a face to emotions and a shape to ideas. Since then, I have been trying to combine words and drawings in books that make people smile, think, and maybe even dream a little.

When I create, I think of those magical moments when a child loses themselves in the pages and finds themselves on an adventure of their own. I believe that children's books should not only entertain, but also nourish the imagination, accompany discoveries, and—why not—leave a gentle mark.

Oh, and when I'm not working? I observe letters as if they were characters, draw unlikely animals, and collect funny stories that children tell me.
