Evelyn Benzecri

My name is Evelyn Benzecri, and I'm an artist with a degree in Early Childhood Art Education. My passion for art began at a very young age. I made my first drawing of a trip to the park, which was published in my elementary school magazine. From the age of 12, I attended private painting classes. I studied at the Neumann Design Institute in Caracas.

After graduating with a degree in Education, with a specialization in Fine Arts, I began my journey in the world of early childhood art education.

For over thirty five years, I have taught artistic techniques to hundreds of children and young adults, whose extraordinary works have been exhibited in numerous national and international exhibitions.

I have worked in settings as diverse as preschools, elementary schools, community centers, children's art workshops, nonprofit organizations for children with special needs, summer camps, and my own art studio, the Artistic Expression Workshop (TEA), where participants learn key skills and abilities in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, collage, assemblage, and other mixed media. At TEA, children enjoy creating their own artistic creations and learning about the lives and works of renowned artists.

Many of TEA's students have won awards in various national and international competitions. They have received special prizes and gold, silver, and bronze medals in the "How the World's Children Paint" competition held annually in Japan. They have also won awards in the "International Children's Painting Competition," organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and have received honorable mentions in several editions of the "Lidice International Children's Fine Arts Exhibition" in the Czech Republic, organized by UNESCO.
