Linda Hamilton

Linda Parker Hamilton is an award-winning author and the founder of Stories to Last, an independent press dedicated to preserving memoirs, family histories, and practical nonfiction for nearly 20 years. She has written and edited dozens of books and stories—personal histories, nonfiction guides, feature articles, outdoor adventures, and fiction for readers of all ages.

She’s also known as the College Essay Guru, coaching young adults through the college application process & helping them discover their voice and craft compelling stories.

Before diving into writing full-time, Linda taught high school and college writing, which only deepened her love of helping people tell their stories.

Along with writing, Linda loves spending time with her sons, singing in a band with her husband, Doug, dancing, gardening, and traveling.

At the heart of everything she does is a simple belief: our stories matter. Through Stories to Last, she helps individuals and families capture moments and memories before they fade away—preserving them for generations in one beautiful book at a time.
