Meera is a nomad at heart and a curious learner. She is always raring to explore and discover new places and different cultures. Travels and ministry have seen her serve among people of different nations in different continents.
Her childhood years were enriched by growing up in a multilingual, multicultural society in Southeast Asia. This setting, coupled with being raised in an extended family that blended interfaith and intercultural marriages, profoundly shaped her. They cultivated in her an openness in embracing diversity and creating spaces for differences.
A Marketing graduate, her desire for continuous learning has led her to careers across multiple industries. Starting out as a Broadcast Journalist and News Anchorwoman, with a forte in International Politics. She later transited to Corporate Reputation Management and consulted leaders of Multinational Corporations in various sectors. Meera later became Partner in a Consultancy firm with its niche in Crisis Communications and Issues Management.
After over a decade in the industry, she returned to school to earn her accreditation as a Life and Executive Coach.
The shift to the mission frontier has taken her on many exciting adventures. She has been engaged with mission organizations with work spanning from Europe, East Africa, South Asia, South East Asia to South Pacific.Meera currently serves on the International Board of Alongsiders.
She is also a trained Spiritual Director and a spiritual companion to mission workers.
Missions aside, she recounts her most enriching encounters with God have been in journeying through long-term illnesses and cancer the last 20 years.
Meera loves the great outdoors, travelling, connecting with people of different cultures, engaging in thought-provoking conversations, sharing meals and laughs with friends, art and stargazing.
