Nancy Depke

Nancy Depke is an award-winning artist, graphic designer, and enthusiastic collector of hobbies she swears she’ll finish. She has been creating professionally for over 30 years, with work featured in museums, print publications, and hospitals. When not in her studio, you can find her outdoors mountain biking, skiing, and trying her very best to conquer all of her fears. She calls Colorado home, where she lives with her husband, three sons, two cats, and one remarkably well-behaved dragon named Burnie.

I originally created this book for my children. I wanted to leave them with a reminder that when life brings pain, loss, rejection, or hardship-as it inevitably does-they will not only survive it, but have the ability transform these experiences into something meaningful.
