James R. Snoddy

James R. Snoddy is a former infantry officer, diplomat, entrepreneur, and strategic systems designer. He served as an infantry platoon leader in Iraq, where he led more than 480 combat missions, and has worked on a range of global issues spanning technology, security, and public policy. His experience includes multilateral diplomacy, crisis response, and cross-sector leadership in both government and entrepreneurial roles.

James holds degrees in writing and English from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland. He is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge, and 11 State Department awards for leadership and innovation. He’s an Eagle Scout, and an advisor to senior leaders in high-tempo environments.

He lives in Honeoye Falls, New York, with his wife and young son, and runs 1,000 miles a year through slush, smoke, snow, and sun.
