Gilbert Obi Enechi

Dr Gilbert O.Enechi is a dual professional who began his post secondary clinical and academic pursuit with BSc,OD Optometry(University of Benin),Fellow,NCO (Low Vision &Visual Rehab) and SCCLv (LAICO, India). Being a compute enthusiast,he acquired PGD,Computer Science & Eng.(ESUT)MSc,PhD Computer Science (Nnamdi Azikiwe University) with

specialization in Medical Expert Systems/Artificial Intelligence.He has designec several ophthalmic devices and has developed several software programs.He has delivered several scientific papers and journal publications both in local and international settings. His work has taken him to countries such as India,South Africa,France and Germany. He has successfully supervised post-graduate students in Nigerian Post-Graduate College of Optometrists. Dr Enechi has over 30years didactic clinical experience in the practice of Optometry as he is currently the Director of Optometry, University of Nigeria Medical Centre & Visiting Chief Optometrist University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH).Through his direct interactions with his numerous students, he is able to demystify the knotty topics feared and loathed by many students as demonstrated in his current book The Basic Clinical Optics.Dr Enechi is happily married and blessed with children.
