James Corazzo is an academic, researcher and leader. He is the co-author of ‘Studio Properties: A Field Guide to Design Education’ (Bloomsbury Visual Arts, 2025), which examines the studio as a complex form of teaching and learning.
James has worked in design education since 2001. He is an advocate for design education and the potential of design to shape equitable and transformative futures. This drives his teaching, research and leadership in creative education. He was awarded a National Teaching Fellow in 2022 and currently works as an Associate Head at the Sheffield Creative Industries Institute, Sheffield Hallam University, UK.
