Amanda Strawhacker

Amanda Strawhacker is an educator, researcher, mom, and passionate advocate for early childhood innovation. Her books, blog posts, and published research explore the intersection of technology, caregiving, and early learning. Amanda holds a Ph.D. in Child Development from Tufts University and has taught at the college level, associate-directed the Early Childhood Technology graduate certificate program, and is currently the STEAM Curriculum Coordinator in an independent K–8 school.

Drawing on her academic expertise and hands-on teaching experience, Amanda supports educators and families in cultivating curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young children. Her work blends research-based insights with practical, joyful approaches to STEAM education—always with a child’s perspective at the center.

When she's not writing or teaching, Amanda can be found tinkering in a maker lab, exploring the outdoors with her family, or dreaming up new ways to make learning irresistible.
