Lils Paige

Lils Paige is a writer and activist whose work is rooted in real-world impact. She divides her time between the coastal town of Ketchikan, Alaska, and long-term field placements in East Africa and Southeast Asia—where she supports grassroots efforts focused on education equity, LGBTQ+ rights, and trauma-informed community development.

Her activism isn’t flashy or performative; it’s built on years of direct service, cultural humility, and collaboration with local leaders. Whether she's teaching English in rural Kenyan schools, cooking for displaced families in refugee settlements, or leading workshops for youth in post-conflict zones, Lils shows up ready to listen, learn, and lift others up.

Her time in Kenya began as an English teacher through a grassroots exchange program in 2017. What started as a six-month commitment turned into two years of deep involvement with local educators, where she helped develop literacy curricula tailored to the needs of multilingual classrooms and children affected by displacement.

In addition to her teaching background, Lils has worked as a support cook in mobile clinics, disaster relief kitchens, and community feeding programs across multiple continents.
