I’m Ray Brunell—founder, solo-developer, and lifelong tinkerer who built my first trading bot on a wheezing gaming laptop at 2 a.m. and then spent the next six months figuring out how to keep it ethical.

For fifteen years I worked in software QA and cybersecurity, hunting bugs and breaking things safely for Fortune-500 clients. Today I run InvestWise-AI and the Rise-Ops micro-SaaS studio, where I turn late-night experiments into practical tools that help other scrappy founders grow—without losing their humanity or breaking the rules.

My writing mixes engineering war stories, ADHD-fueled breakthroughs, and a belief that the best technology still starts and ends with people. Whether I’m teaching small-business owners how to adopt AI responsibly (The Ethical Edge), or untangling compliance headaches for solo entrepreneurs, my goal is simple: make advanced tech feel human, trustworthy, and achievable on a shoestring budget.
