Forest Yin

Forest Yin is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM), licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and educator. He is the founder of Ashi Healing and Acupuncture Inc. and serves as a professor and doctoral advisor at the University of East West Medicine. With deep roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a scientific mindset, Forest is dedicated to making natural healing more accessible and practical for everyday life.

Alongside his long career in technology leadership, Forest also pursued extensive academic study and research in integrative health and Traditional Chinese Medicine. His interdisciplinary background across science, technology, and wellness has shaped his broader interest in helping people navigate modern life with greater balance, resilience, and wellbeing.

Forest is the author of The Medicine-Free, Illness-Free Series, a ten-volume English-language series exploring some of the widely used and most trusted natural therapies for health and longevity. Covering topics such as herbal medicine, medicinal mushrooms, amino acids, detoxification, organ extracts, and grounding techniques, the series blends classical wisdom with real-world applications.

He is also the author of a Chinese-language book, Healing Wisdom of a Sage—a work of health and spiritual insight drawn from his lifelong study of Eastern philosophy, healing, and inner cultivation. Written in aphoristic style, the book invites readers to rediscover harmony between body, mind, and life itself. It has gained wide recognition among Chinese readers for its clarity and depth, and the English edition is coming soon.

Forest’s translation of Medical Forest Error Corrections (Yi Lin Gai Cuo) by Wang Qingren brings one of the most reformist and historically significant texts in Chinese medicine to English readers for the first time in full.
