Jim Foglio

Born & raised in Livingston NJ, Jim graduated from Michigan State & earned his MA in History from Rutgers. While working as a journalist, he was often vehicle profiled by local police & forced to relocate to Albany, NY. He went to SUNY Albany for his SS certification & MS in Education, & has taught for 22 years, including mentoring student teachers, differentiating for neurodiverse students, & co-founding a school in Americus, GA. He has taught or developed courses in Geography, Civics, US, World & Colorado History, Multicultural America, & Foundations in Education. Foglio enjoys Poe, Steinbeck, hiking & camping, lifting weights, growing and breeding cannabis, drinking 7.0+ IPAs, sports betting, & a good craps game. He's played fantasy football for 30 years & writes the longest running column in history. His son Denver & wife Tamara have put up with 17 of Lancaster's Locks' 31 years.
