Melanie Deer

Melanie Deer is happily married to the best husband and cheerleader in the world. They have a wonderful young son and live in central Arizona. She was raised on high/epic fantasy books and games, and her happy place is in some far-off world with elves, dragons, and other mythical creatures; so, fantasy was where her writing truly settled in. She got a BA double major in Creative Writing and Anthropology at the University of Arizona. Her day job is working in an archaeological repository at Arizona State University. But she has always had a passion for writing and being published has been a life-long dream.
