Who is Vercey Publishing, and why should you trust our books for your kids? What makes us qualified to create technology and finance books for kids?

We have:

• had successful careers in technology and finance, and we were well recognized for our prioritized focus on mentoring young professionals.

• helped organize and operate several successful non-profit and volunteer organizations.

• raised four kids who have each realized success in life as spouse, friend, professional, and increasingly as parents. Two are successful nurses, and two are successful software engineers. All four are relied upon and respected by their family members, friends, and colleagues.

• coached hundreds of kids ages 5-12 in basketball over a span of 12 years.

• mentored dozens of kids ages 14-18 who were placed in alternative school.

• mentored dozens of young adults 18+ in resume building, interviewing, and job searching.

• lived and traveled extensively outside the US.

• mastered public speaking.

Perhaps most applicably, we have learned the power of stories when teaching and communicating.

If we had to sum it up in fewer words, we are just normal people who have received wonderful coaching from others and have been blessed with the ability and resources to help others. As a result, we have indeed learned that it is better to give than receive. For example, writing the above list reminds us of the kids we have helped. Remembering their faces and achievements gives us great joy and happiness (again). They don’t know it, but they gave us far more than we gave them.
