Winnie Garza's career as a Life Enrichment Coordinator is a treasured memory for her, even in retirement. Winnie, a wife, mother, and grandmother, lives in West Michigan with her husband of fifty years.

A lover of nature and simple joys, Winnie enjoys biking, camping, boating, hiking and beach days with friends and family. Spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, makes her happiest.

Creative by nature, Winnie also finds joy in gardening, embroidery, decorating and cooking. But above all, she also loves words and how they can offer comfort, inspire healing and, when woven together with care, tell a beautiful story. Her writing reflects her deep appreciation for connection, memory, and the richness of ordinary life.

Oh Winnie. What you have wrought out of a heartbreaking traumatizing childhood. You are so brave and I keep thinking how miraculous that you also had such a great sense of humor throughout these years.‼️ I am blessed to know a part of you and wish I could know you more.
