Paul Cunningham

Paul Cunningham is a poet-turned-screenwriter-turned-field-guide whisperer, helping writers tap into the raw, strange magic of their own voices. He’s had three screenplays optioned, poems scattered across literary journals, and has written for newspapers and magazines where deadlines were like whips.

His work draws from deep roots in Zen Shiatsu, martial arts, elemental theory, and the beautiful mess of life. Whether he's unspooling a crime saga about a Kansas City gang war, diving into a Hitchcockian short where dinner gets… complicated, or writing a survival epic disguised as a love story, Paul writes from the fault lines — where things shift, crack, burn, and eventually grow back stranger.

He believes writing isn’t about control. It’s about listening to what the Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void are already trying to tell you.

He currently lives on Block Island--somewhere between the page and the dreamline.
