Amita Basu

Amita Basu’s fiction appears or is forthcoming in 95+ venues including Notre Dame Review, Penn Review, Harpur Palate, Phoebe, Jelly Bucket, Bamboo Ridge, and Funicular. Her debut, At Play and Other Stories (Bridge House Press), released in 2025. She’s won the Letter Review Prize (2024), the Ruskin Bond Literary Award (2025), and The Book Review Literary Trust Award (2025). She has a PhD in behavioural sciences and is a consultant at the intersection of climate/conservation and human behaviour. She lives in Auroville, India.
