Alan Bennett

Alan Bennett is a distinguished former lawyer specializing in international trade law. Throughout his legal career, he provided strategic counsel to multinational corporations navigating complex regulatory disputes, including cases that culminated in determinations by the World Trade Organization (WTO). In addition to his legal practice, Alan was an Adjunct Professor in the Postgraduate Faculty of Law at the University of Sydney, where he lectured in courses for 25 years on: WTO Dispute Resolution and International Import-Export Law and Regulation. His academic contributions have shaped the understanding of international trade law for generations of students and practitioners. Alan also served as a contractual consultant for the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Legal Division in Washington, D.C., where he was engaged in drafting import laws for nations requiring legal and regulatory frameworks to support their trade policies.
