Robert W. Collin

I have taught, researched and published in law, social work and urban and environmental planning for over 4 decades. I have also been appointed to advisory commissions by 3 state governors and 3 presidents. I have published many law reviews, 2 were the first on the topic in that genre. I have published 9 volumes of encyclopedias, some with my wife Robin Morris Collin. 2 were the first in that genre - the book on the EPA was mine. The 3 volume set on sustainability was ours. My book, Battleground Environment, 2 volumes, described the 100 most controversial environmental issues from the perspective of community, government and industry. I have also been certified as an expert witness in US federal court and in state Court. I have won 2 awards teaching decided by students.

My book, The Climate Adaptation Generation: A Blueprint for the Future, was awarded the best climate change book in the US in 2025. Accepted for consideration for the 2025 Pulitzer Prize. Now available as an audiobook on line. It has been long listed for a Green Earth Book Award for non fiction in 2026. It was awarded runner up for the Pencraft award in nonfiction. My other book, Climate Change in the Classroom, was the number 1 best seller in the education finance category on Amazon.

My latest book, "WHO GETS TO ADAPT? Environmental Elites, Blue-Collar Communities, and the Climate Divide: Why Privilege Shapes Protection and How Flourishing Can Close the Climate Divide," completes my climate trilogy on education, citizen empowerment, and institutional analysis, all with the goal of achieving flourishing. It has been rated a top new release on Amazon in the Labor category.
