L. Taylor Guthrie

L. Taylor Guthrie was born in Southeast Texas, near Houston, and was a multi-year letterman in Football and Track. During his senior year, he broke his leg in a football game that required multiple surgeries and stainless steel pins, staples, and rods. Still, he received a full scholarship for football, but the injury persisted and finally ended his dreams of next level sports. The emotional roller coaster he endured set him on a lifelong journey to help young athletes deal with the stress and anxieties of both sport and life. L. Taylor is a Sport Psychology Specialist with a Masters of Science degree in Sport Psychology from California Southern University and is currenlty working with young athletes and their parents to help build mental toughness, resilience, and leadership skills that will follow them from sports through life.
