D.C. Bond

D.C. Bond was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, nestled between the snowcapped mountains on every horizon, where a childhood encounter with Edgar Rice Burroughs’ A Princess of Mars sparked a lifelong passion for science fiction and fantasy. Fueled by Star Trek and Star Wars, Bond’s imagination soared to distant worlds. After leaving college to support the family’s scaffold and shoring business, Bond took the helm when his father fell ill, later purchasing the company to secure his parents’ retirement. Known as Alaska’s go-to expert for scaffold design, he developed a “competent person” training program that was adopted by the University of Alaska Anchorage and served as a guest speaker for several years at the Governor’s Safety Conference on scaffold safety.

After selling the business and relocating to Texas with his wife and two daughters, Bond embraced his creative side, designing theater sets at his local theater and later as an actor. Inspired by his daughters’ writing and lifelong friends, he penned his debut novel, Letters from the Gods, a thrilling blend of time travel, Ancient Egyptian mystery, and speculative science. When not writing, Bond explores Texas with his family or dreams up new adventures. Connect with D.C. Bond on social media for updates on his next journey.
