Philippe Pouilloux PT

Philippe Pouilloux is a veteran physical therapist and accidental author with over 35 years of experience helping people wrestle chronic pain into submission. For more than three decades, he ran a thriving outpatient clinic until COVID came knocking and he politely showed it the door by shifting to home healthcare. He now brings relief (and the occasional wisecrack) straight to people’s living rooms.

Philippe is the author of Hostage to Chronic Pain: Proven Strategies to Escape Pain and Reclaim Your Life, a straight-talking, fluff-free guide that delivers practical relief with zero tolerance for nonsense. His approach is rooted in real science, decades of hands-on experience, and the belief that while pain is real, suffering doesn’t have to be permanent or boring.

He’s currently putting the finishing touches on his next book, The Anatomy of Pain, which dives deeper into how pain works, why it misbehaves, and how to outsmart it like a pro. Spoiler: there’s no magic wand, but there is a method.

Philippe speaks human, not medicalese. His writing blends hard-won knowledge with empathy and the occasional sarcastic punchline because sometimes laughter is the best medicine, right after physical therapy of course.

When not writing or treating patients, he’s busy tending plants that refuse to die, rolling his eyes at wellness fads, and reminding people that yes, it's only pain, but no, you don’t have to put up with it.
