Akilah Picou

Hello! Welcome to my author page! I am a writer, illustrator, homeschool mama, and veteran special educator. I have illustrated and co-authored the picture books "JennyLyne vs. the Guinea Hens" and "JennyLyne and the Science Fair Incident" with Dallas Henslee. "I Am Peaceful" is my very first solo project that combines my passion for hands-on art activities, teaching, and encouraging others. I live in California with my husband and two children. A few of my favorite things are encouraging others, bright colors, and pickle flavored popcorn. Find me on Instagram @akilahpicou
