Jeramie Tarr

Jeramie Tarr is a writer and teacher whose books span heartfelt fiction, children’s literature, and practical nonfiction.

Her debut novel, The Diner, introduced readers to her warm, character-driven storytelling and was recognized by the Indie Author Project and selected for inclusion in a regional library collection through BiblioBoard.

Jeramie is also the creator of the Paddling Pete series, inspired by the world of dragon boat racing and built around friendship, teamwork, courage, and belonging. The series follows a little sock monkey named Pete as he travels with the Heartbeat Dragons and discovers that being brave doesn’t always mean being fearless.

Her newest work of adult fiction, Accompanied by Firelight, explores a lifetime of love, grief, memory, and the emotions that remain with us along the way.

Jeramie also writes books designed to be useful as well as entertaining, including Easy Crockpot Cooking, created to help college students make inexpensive, comforting meals with limited space, equipment, and experience.

Whether she is writing for children or adults, Jeramie’s stories share a common thread: ordinary people, meaningful relationships, and the courage to meet whatever comes next.

When she isn’t writing, Jeramie enjoys nature, family adventures, and being part of the wonderfully loud, colorful world of dragon boat racing.
