Gigi Cramer

Gigi Cramer is an author, mother, and survivor, with a passion for helping others find their way through dark times. Her work has been featured in the prestigious Ranch & Coast Magazine, where MIRACLE WARRIOR was selected as an Editor’s Pick. In addition to writing, Cramer was a celebrity interior designer in Washington, D.C. and New York City designing John Lennon & Yoko Ono's Dakota apartment prior to becoming a top-producing real estate agent in San Diego for over a decade. She is the proud single mother of two children, Randall and Cameron, and she continues to be a tireless advocate for her community and philanthropic passions and charity organizations.

In 2015, Gigi Cramer’s husband, Ed, suffered an horrific heart attack behind the wheel that sent their car at a high rate of speed directly into a light pole. Tragically, Ed lost his life, and Gigi began a grueling nine-month journey that included over a three-month induced coma, a shattered femur and the possibility of having her leg amputated, a broken nose, and more than 120 surgeries & 73 blood transfusions. Knowing the fighter Gigi is, Richard Thunder, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Scripps Memorial Hospital, fiercely advocated on behalf of the three-time breast cancer survivor, boldly stating that she’d leave the hospital with her leg, whether alive or on a gurney. While in the ICU, Gigi, an avid scuba diver in her younger years, was visited daily by her sons, Randall and Cameron Schiff, who recorded the sounds of the waves when they surfed, not knowing if she could actually hear them as they played them back for her at her bedside.

Ultimately, Gigi made a full recovery and Dr. Thunder and the entire Trauma Team named her their “Miracle Warrior.” Today, vibrant as ever, Gigi still generously supports numerous charities including Voices for Children, Angels Foster Family, Home Start, World Wildlife Fund, Ocean Concervancy, Salvation Army,.USO, Wounded Warrior Project, Environmental Defense Fund and Center for Community Solutions, among others.
