Gemma Koomen

Gemma Koomen is an illustrator and author based in Northumberland, UK. Working mainly in gouache, ink and mixed media she creates gentle, nature inspired art that celebrates small joys, quiet moments and the rhythms of the seasons. She studied at Glasgow School of Art and after exploring various creative paths started illustrating full time after becoming a mother. Gemma’s illustrations have been featured in books, magazine and on products. She has her own popular range of sustainable paper goods which are sold by stockists all over the world.
