As well as being a published author of children’s stories, Sarah has had varied creative careers in design, fragrance and color consultancy.

After spending eighteen years developing an international design company where she gained experience in art direction, photographic styling, administration and journalism, she also became a specialist in interior design, airline interiors and paint finishes and effects.

Sarah created and operated ‘The Pink Room’ shop in London and New York for her own designed scarves, accessories, fragrance and other lifestyle products. She researched her subject, initially based on the French Decorative Arts, working with museums, private collections and her own extensive collection of documents.

She has been profiled, or her products shown, in more than 200 magazines and has been recognized by a diverse range of authorities, including:

• Pantone European Colour Awards - Commendation

• The Ryman Prize for Outstanding Enterprise and Innovation

This is coupled with a life-long interest in the environment and animal rights.

She lives in upstate NY with her husband, creating gardens and caring for all the animals in the area.
