Brian Tavares is a lifelong cultivator, educator, and the founder of CloudSurfer Consulting, LLC. With over two decades of hands-on cannabis cultivation experience and formal training through UC Merced’s Green Flower program, Brian bridges the gap between legacy wisdom and modern growing science.

Based in California’s Central Valley, Brian is known for his integrity-driven approach to cannabis, blending organic methods, real-world strategies, and a no-BS teaching style that resonates with growers at every level. He’s the author of Cultivating Cannabis with Integrity and Methods of Cannabis Cultivation, and he’s helped both backyard hobbyists and commercial operators unlock better results in their grow spaces.

When he’s not writing or teaching classes, Brian is in the garden with his German Shepherds, testing techniques, refining systems, and empowering others to grow clean, high-quality cannabis—with purpose.
