Zoe James-Williams

Zoe James-Williams is an author, artist and lifelong lover of fantasy, ballet and storytelling. Her debut YA novel Dancing With Fire fuses the haunting elegance of classical dance with the high stakes of dark fantasy- perfect for readers who love ballerina rivals, forbidden magic and, slow-burning secrets.

Zoe was artist-in-residence with Swansea Ballet Russe and has been invited to Royal Ballet principal dancers to capture them in her work. She has exhibited her ballet, performance and powerful women across the UK and has artwork in collections worldwide. She brings that same visual intensity and emotional depth to her writing

When she's not writing or painting Zoe teaches art and reviews books under Drawing On Books on Instagram while sharing behind the scenes glimpses of her creative life on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
