Steven van Holland

Steven van Holland is a Dutch language teacher and writer who only recently discovered how much fun writing can be — and now can’t seem to stop.

He writes in both English and Dutch. His first book, Lekker Direct: Surviving the Netherlands One Awkward Moment at a Time, offers a humorous and heartfelt take on Dutch culture for expats and curious readers alike. His ongoing series, Kaas Vos & Coelha, is written in Dutch and available in two versions: a standard edition and a special NT2 edition designed for Dutch language learners.

Steven spends much of his time on the move, writing from pastelarias in Porto, cafés in Utrecht, sunny corners in Athens, or wherever he finds coffee and a socket. His stories blend culture, language, and light-hearted mischief — always aiming to help readers laugh, learn, and feel a little more at home.
