Edgar Ortiz

Edgar Ortiz is a Puerto Rican storyteller born and raised in New York, now living in Central Florida with his wife and 11-year-old stepson. Widowed in 2016 and remarried in 2021, he began writing to pass time between chauffeur assignments, using technology to help shape and refine his ideas. His debut novel, Legend of the Revenant: Bloodlines of the Past, blends entertainment with meaning. The book also let him reflect on his family’s roots in the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal). Though he never set out to write fiction, Edgar’s eye for a meaningful story led to a rich, cinematic world. His short story, The Negotiation, serves as a gateway into the Legend of the Revenant universe.
