Nathan Wu

Nathan Wu is first and foremost a proud dad to two wonderful daughters, Lily and Rosie, whose curiosity, courage, and everyday experiences inspire many of the stories he writes.

Nathan creates children’s books that help young readers feel seen, supported, and a little braver when facing life’s challenges—whether it’s getting braces, managing big emotions, or navigating experiences that can feel overwhelming for kids. His stories aim to spark a love of reading while gently reminding children that they are never alone in what they’re going through.

Nathan grew up in a family deeply connected to healthcare. His mother, a dentist and his grandfather was a physician, giving him an early appreciation for the ways medical and dental care help people live healthier lives. That background often influences the thoughtful and reassuring way health topics appear in his books.

Nathan holds a degree in Fine Arts and a Master’s degree, and he is the founder of The Village Kids’ Club in beautiful Alameda, California. At The Village Kids’ Club, children thrive through hands-on learning, creativity, and community in academic and arts-based after-school programs, classes, and camps.

Nathan believes books—like learning—are always evolving. He welcomes thoughtful feedback from readers and families and continually refines his stories to better support the children they are written for.
