S. M. Jakoby is a teen author who found refuge in storytelling during some of the hardest, most transformative years of her life. Born in 2009 in a quiet village in Germany, she discovered her love for storytelling early on and hasn’t stopped writing since. Writing became more than a hobby—it became a way to process emotions, explore identity, and build entire worlds from a quiet corner of her own.
She is especially drawn to stories with deep emotional cores, magical creatures, and complicated girls who fight for love, justice, and truth—even when they’re not sure they believe in any of it yet. Her work often explores themes of mental health, found family, and queer identity, all shaped by her own experiences growing up.
When she’s not writing, she spends her time studying, caring for animals (real and fictional), and imagining new characters who won't leave her alone until their stories are told.
This is her debut novel, but it’s only the beginning.
