Shellene Wright is a professional illustrator and creative storyteller with a passion for bringing dreams to life through art. She is best known for her work on children’s books that center imagination, identity, and hope, with each one drawn with intentionality and heart.

As the founder of Hope in Hand, Shellene creates meaningful paper goods and coloring books that speak to women rediscovering their creativity, especially during seasons of transition like new motherhood or career change. Her illustrations often feature Black women and girls in all their beauty, softness, and strength, filling a gap in representation with every line she draws.

When she’s not sketching in her studio, she enjoys journaling, spending time with her family, and pouring into her faith. Whether through a storybook or a coloring page, Shellene’s mission is simple: to help others feel seen, inspired, and creatively free.
