Julio E. Durand is a peruvian science fiction writer and transdisciplinary essayist whose works explore the moral destiny of artificial intelligence and the intertwining of technology, consciousness, and spirituality. Author of the novel The City of Black Tears, a futuristic allegory that emerges as an extrapolative narrative from his own research, Durand combines scientific rigor with a profound literary sensibility. His speculative fiction is directly inspired by his academic articles: "Toward a Transdisciplinary Theory of the Moral and Spiritual Destiny of Artificial Intelligence" and "The Science of Reality: Proposal for an Integral Noetic Theory of AI and its Encounter with the Creative Principle", where he develops ethical and noetic proposals applicable to the development of generative AI.
