Doug Ballinger Jr.

Doug Ballinger is a father, speaker, and advocate who turned unimaginable grief into a powerful mission for change. After losing his son Logan to fentanyl poisoning in May 2020, Doug began raising awareness about the overdose crisis, the dangers of illicit fentanyl, and the stigma surrounding addiction and traumatic grief.

He is the author of Logan’s Story: A Father’s Fight Against the Fentanyl Crisis, a raw and heartfelt memoir that chronicles his son’s life, struggles, and the ripple effect of loss. Doug is also the host of Logan’s Voice, a podcast dedicated to education, advocacy, and giving voice to families impacted by addiction and overdose.

Doug serves on the executive board of the Hope Movement Coalition, where he works to support families of loss, promote harm reduction, and push for systemic change. His work centers around compassion, storytelling, and ensuring that no one grieving a child feels invisible.

He lives his life in honor of Logan, carrying forward his memory with purpose and love.
