Kathleen Goggin

I have always been interested in sharing best practices in business and in life. Disappointed that there were no manuals to follow, I often created my own and then shared them to help others. “10 Little Rules When Good Jobs Go Bad” is my latest project, designed for anyone navigating difficult decisions in their job journey.

Some of my previous projects include, a lifestyle newspaper column, that I wrote will living in Eastern Europe for five years while posted to the U.S. Embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria, “The Art of International Living,” newsletter that I published to assist successful international relocations, and “Backpack Kids: The Planning Safety Checklist for Overseas Travel,” an iPhone app for parents, teachers, and volunteer leaders planning international travel for school-age children.

I am a certified technical writer and writing workshop leader. I specialize in plain language/plain English writing and teach private business clients how to save time and money with clear writing methods. Clients have included the US State Department, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Federal Aviation Administration. I live in Virginia and my favorite activities are hiking and biking.
