Suraj Sood

I'm an augmented cognition researcher with a decade of experience in human-computer interaction. I completed my Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, Santa Barbara, majoring in Psychology and Philosophy, and my Doctorate of Philosophy at the University of West Georgia in Psychology: Consciousness & Society. I served as a session chair for Human-Computer Interaction International Conference’s Augmented Cognition in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2025. I have been on Augmented Cognition’s Program Board since 2018. My research in HCI focuses on theory-building and simulation, drawing from psychology, philosophy and computer science.
