Jessica Koehler

Dr. Jessica Koehler holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Maryland. She serves as an Associate Faculty member at the University of Arizona Global Campus, where she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology. With over two decades of experience as a practitioner, researcher, and lecturer, Dr. Koehler has taught at multiple institutions and worked as a school psychologist, specializing in psychoeducational assessment, academic interventions, and teacher efficacy.

Her research extends to neuroscience, and she has worked on studies on dyslexia and hyperlexia at Georgetown University. Earlier in her career, Dr. Koehler focused on school-based teams, character education, and social skills, exploring how targeted interventions can improve educational outcomes.

Dr. Koehler is also the author of the Beyond School Walls blog for Psychology Today, where she connects psychological science to everyday life. Her passion for translating research into practical tools drives both her teaching and her public outreach efforts. In addition, Dr. Koehler has been a homeschooling parent for the past nine years.
