Sasha S. Dixon is an artist, author, performing poet, and educator from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, whose life and work are rooted in creative expression and spiritual resilience. From her early days at Coventry Elementary and Cleveland Heights High School to earning a degree in Studio Art with a minor in Drawing at The University of Akron, Sasha has always found home in the arts.
Adopted at the age of eight by her grandparents, Dorthy and Harvey Lee Allen whose 45 year marriage modeled a legacy of strength, love, and wisdom Sasha’s upbringing was rich in faith and grounded support. Their influence continues to shape the person and artist she is today.
Her latest book, Through My Eyes: The Art of Living, is more than a poetry collection it’s a mirror of her soul. Each poem is a thread in the tapestry of healing, hope, and hard-earned insight. Written in the quiet and the chaos, in pain and in praise, these verses reflect the raw beauty of becoming. At the heart of her journey is Jesus Christ, whose love and presence have carried her through life’s most difficult storms and sustained her through every transformation.
In addition to this deeply personal work, Sasha is the author of the poetry collection Charm & Passion, and the creator of the beloved Bella Lee children’s book series, including 123 with Bella Lee, ABCs with Bella Lee, Colors with Bella Lee, and Coloring with Bella Lee. Each title reflects her passion for creativity, education, and inspiring younger generations.
Sasha writes for the soul-seekers, the healers, the dreamers, and the broken who are learning to stand tall again. Her words invite readers to embrace the fullness of their story and to find the art of living in every moment.
