Hello, I'm Guenter H. Schamel—an engineer by profession, a writer by passion. For many years, I lived in the world of technology and precision. Before dedicating myself entirely to storytelling, I spent over a decade in research and eventually earned my doctorate (yes, complete with footnotes and far too many late-night coffee sessions). After that, I took the leap into the dynamic world of management consulting—where PowerPoint is a native language—and subsequently moved into a leadership position in German industry as executive assistant to the board (essentially half diplomat, half firefighter).

Standing still was never my thing. I founded a telecommunications company, took it public, and survived the roller coaster ride with my sense of humor intact. Along the way, I discovered my passion for international business, especially in vibrant regions like Dubai, Asia, and South Africa—where innovation meets adventure (and occasionally confusion meets customs forms).

Today, I channel my entrepreneurial energy into real estate and startups—or at least secure a steady coffee supply and plenty of "character-building" experiences. Through writing, I always find a solid anchor, an outlet—and a way to make sense of life's beautifully unpredictable nature.

Beyond all these activities, social engagement is also very close to my heart. I have been an active member of Rotary International for many years and had the honor of serving as president of my local Rotary Club in Germany in 2017. Charitable work is and remains an important part of my life.
