About the Author

Anna L. Woods is a trauma-informed coach, author, and speaker whose work is rooted in her own journey through grief and faith. Certified as a Trauma-Informed Resilience Coach, Life Coach, and Grief Coach, and holding a Master's degree in Ministry, she brings both lived experience and professional training to the question of how people heal.

That journey began with the loss of her beloved mother — a loss that plunged Anna into deep sorrow and forced her to confront hard questions about faith, healing, and resilience. Raised in a loving Christian household, she struggled at first to reconcile the intensity of her grief with her upbringing. Two things her parents told her became touchstones: her father's "You got to know Jesus for yourself," and her mother's gentle "You just keep living; you will understand someday." Together, they taught her that faith and emotional struggle aren't opposites — they can coexist.

That conviction sent Anna deeper into both biblical study and academic research into grief, trauma, and the body's response to emotional pain. What she found reshaped her work: grief often shows up physically, not just emotionally, and with the right awareness and coping strategies, even overwhelming feelings can become a pathway to healing rather than a place to get stuck.

Anna holds a BA in Organizational Leadership and a Master's in Ministry and Strategic Leadership from Warner University. She serves as Vice President of Pro-Vets Group Inc. her roles draw on more than twenty-six years in retail operations management and a deep background in leadership and human resources. That combination gives her a rare vantage point on how grief and emotional struggle play out in both personal life and the workplace.

Beyond her books, Anna hosts workshops and speaks at conferences on grief and mental wellness, and host Faith and Feelings Community Conversation and journaling. She is active in community outreach. Through it all, her aim stays simple: to help others find light in the darkness of grief, one honest conversation at a time.
